Green Pastures are before me.......

Good Morning!  Aren't the colors awesome in that sunrise?

I have nothing to write, I just wanted to pop in and say hello.  I've been very busy with the Ancestry.com thing and also homeschooling.....at least, that's my story.  LOL

I know you all will have a great day!!!  Keep looking for the "Green pastures before you".....they're there, I promise!  :)

From The Christian Science Hymnal....

In heavenly Love abiding,
No change my heart shall fear;
And safe is such confiding,
For nothing changes here.

The storm may roar without me,
My heart may low be laid;
But God is round about me,
And can I be dismayed?

Wherever He may guide me,
No want shall turn me back;
My Shepherd is beside me,
And nothing can I lack.

His wisdom ever waketh,
His sight is never dim;
He knows the way He taketh,
And I will walk with Him.

Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;
Bright skies will soon be o'er me,
Where darkest clouds have been.

My hope I cannot measure,
My path in life is free;
My Father has my treasure,
And He will walk with me.

  1. oooh.... purty!!!
    so, do you have a paid account with them? Have you also checked out rootsweb? That's where I found my mother's father's family tree someone had put up. They had done a lot on that one.

  2. I still want to get a membership to the American Canadian Genealogical Society - they have one here in Manchester. My mother's side is French Canadian. There's French on her father's side, I think her grandmother, but I don't know what generation, just she had a French maiden name. And hubby has French in his family, too.

  3. I just got a paid account with Ancestry....I'm still learning the program... VERY FRUSTRATING!!! ...I've learned that I really need to watch their tutorials on Youtube to research better.

    I learned that I have a great-great grandmother that traveled out to Utah in her 80's and died out there when she was 92 years old. Born 1839 and died 1932..... way to go Granny Emiline!

  4. wow! What made her move in her 80's?
    Researching can be interesting - French names were sometimes Anglicized or just spelled wrong because of language barriers, etc. I had someone help me before when I was trying to get info on my mother's side and I wouldn't have known about the Anglicization of Damas Bienvenue to Thomas Welcome. A literal translation of the last name. LOL

  5. I'd have to look...but I think Granny Emiline outlived everyone else in her family. I think she traveled out west with a younger and adventurous member of the family. I'd love to find some pictures of her and some of the others.
