The slideshow you see to the left shows most of the pictures that I have of my Mom's side of the family. I spent the better part of last night scanning them in and decided that I would put them in the form of a slideshow for the rest of the family to enjoy. I realized too late that I failed to scan them in at a higher resolution, which I will need for later restoration work, and will need to rescan them before working on them.
I still have about a dozen pictures of some of my Mom's friends to scan in, as well as researching her home addresses and locating pictures of her homes she lived in. I am, however, well on my way to organizing her scrapbook and am waiting to start purchasing the necessary items for rebuilding it. I pretty much lack....everything! LOL That's okay....I'm giving this project a year. I have a lot of time. :)

ReplyDeleteI know! Most of them are in great shape really. I'm so anxious to really start, but can't do anything until after Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThe one project has turned into many. LOL My Mom's scrapbook I want to keep like she had it, but in archival paper, etc. Just her life up until her first husband died.
The next book will be a family history on her side. Then another of a family history on my Dad's side. Then I'll get around to doing Mark and I....then the kids....etc.
I love planning all this out...I hope that I'm half as good at actually doing the layouts. LOL
And now I screwed up the slide show!!! GAH!!! I hate computers! :bangsheadondesk:
